This was part of a university brief where we were tasked with creating an "improbable invention". For my project I wanted to practice some 3d shot tracking and making an object float. I also decided to throw in some Lego inspired flair for the project too.
This project had me learning how to remove an object from a scene (a cardboard box to prop up the set) and replace it with a cg model that I created myself. As this project went on I also added other details to the scene such as a plug socket and a screwdriver to make the cg aspects blend in within the source footage more. I also had to make sure that reflections in the table were presented correctly due to the slight glossiness to the surface.
I worked on this project for around 2 months where I had plenty of time to learn more about Nuke as a software and combining it with my Blender workflow.
